Sunday afternoon

We had a nice YW/YM meeting today. Bishop Woolley taught all young men and young women together. It was in keeping the standards. The Stake said our young people had back problems! They didn't like the kids rubbing each others back in church. He talked about things used instead of drugs and how he tried to save a young women a few years back that had sniffed an antipersperant deorderant. It killed her. After church we had a Stake YW meeting also.
This week I finished a book called "The Message" By Lance Richardson. I got the book for the wife of Rick Sabine ,a classmate who died of a heart attack when we were in Idaho. The book is a true story of a man who died and came back to life, but got to see heaven. a good read

SHOULDER OPERATION OVER

Tuesday September 16, 2008 was dad's shoulder operation. We got a picture from Dr. Tingsted of all the extra parts he took out of dad's shoulder. When I get home I will post the picture. Its no wonder it hurt when he moved his arm. We don't know when he gets to go home. We thought his next doc appointment was monday(tomorrow) but when looking at the hospital instructions again, it is not until the next Monday. Steve thinks the doc will see him this week.I was hoping to be home by Thursday for work !!! Aunt Dorene came up to Idaho with us. She is staying with some of her friends in Coeur d'alen. Friday they went to the Spokane Temple to have Alan's temple work done. When we first got to Steve's, Rachel and Savannah were both at a Science camp for Savannah's school. They came home on Thursday so Savannah could go to the Utah/ Vandals game in Utah with Steve. They got to see Jackie and Justin at the game.
While I have been here in Idaho, Gracie has played on her Webkiz site. Rachel got me a Webkiz lion, now I can go on the site too. We were both on it this morning and Savannah came to get on it too. I got dad one, A Bulldog named Angus. He hasn't got on the blog yet.

Off to Idaho

What a busy weekend! I don't think we could have gotten much more into two days.
LaFlores came in on Wednesday evening. We were preparing for a reunion picnic held on Saturday Sept 13th and also had a Thursday night meeting getting ready for our big 50th high school reunion next September 2009.Our Reunion committee is awsome. Everyone is so willing to help make our big day Sept 2009 a big success.
Don and family came down on Friday evening to spend the weekend with us. Saturday morning I took Dee-Anna to see Carolyn Swift to pick out some jewlry for her belated Birthday gift. I actually missed the turn off because I have a one tract mind and we were "gabbing" all the way. Before I knew it I was on the freeway . We couldn't turn around so we had an early morning trip to Rogue River and back!!! Dee-Anna and I then went to the shop to meet Dad and Don. Don and Dee-anna will soon be ready for their spa so they were trying to decide which would work the best.Back home to get the homemade icecream ready for the picnic for later in the afternoon. I was then off to Riverside park to meet with our Highschool class for our annual picnic. It was great. Some classmates attended for the first time. Its always great to see new faces that want to participate.Home again to get ready for the family get together and swimming.I had most of the food ready so when Don and Dee-anna got back from their visit with Grandma Cook and Aunt Dorene we had french dip sanwiches and salads. The kids were swimming and eating and hot-tubbing. The Homemade chocolate ice-cream was pretty good but I do need to get Bernices receipe. We had quite a crowd for a little while. Don,Dee-Anna & boys, Ken and family and Chelsea's Justin were here.Mike and family also came. We were so glad to see all of them. It had been some time since they had visited over here.
Dad had a blessing because we are off today after church to Idaho to get dads shoulder operation.I have been squeezing in packing and getting my BeeHive class ready for today. I think I did it!! Its almost time to go to church. Dad and I will soon be leaving for church. Everyone else is still asleep. They will all be packing up to head for home today while we are at church. Don and family will be heading back to Corvallis after their visit with Grandma & Grandpa Green & LaFlores will be going back to California today.

Jerry got home from Idaho this afternoon

I posted some pictures! Thanks Jera for teaching me how. Jerry's appointment in Idaho on Wednesday for his shoulder took longer than he thought it would. He said it lasted about 3 1/2 hours. They took 3 x-rays, he watched a vidio, and talked to the doctor. He got back home about 1:30pm today. We will leave for Idaho for his operation on Sept 14th after church. Aunt Dorene will be riding up with us so she can visit with some of her friends in Couer D Alene. I don't know if she will stay as long as us. I guess it will depends on how long Jerry will need to be there for his check-up after the operation..His opeation is on Sept 16 at 7am in Pullman.

The pictures I posted were of Aunt Barbs family. I haven't learned how to put a note under them yet.I will post more tonight too.

Jerry went to Idaho

Jerry left for Idaho Wednesday Sept 3, 2008 about 10:3am. He had a pre-op appointment for his shoulder operation that is going to be Sept 16, 2008 with Steve's partner. He said the appointment lasted about 2 1/2 hours. He had x-rays on both shoulders and also his lungs. He also got to watch a vidio about the shoulder opeation. Any way He didn't even get to see the kids there because no one was home.

I got my pictures from Utah on my computer tonight. I'm going to try to put some on my blog. Jera showed me how but I will have to see if I remember.

Labor day weekend

Ariona, Mckenzie and Levi spent Friday night with us because we had the shop closed on Saturday and Monday.Saturday we cleaned the patio and yard a lot before we went to Walmart. We were getting the patio and pool ready for Ken and family. They came over to swim and have pizza with us after they picked pears at the pear farm.

Sunday I had six BeeHive's in class. One young lady was Catherine Hoak's daughter, Kristen. It is amazing how much she looks like her mother. We have a new councelor over the BeeHive's. Her name is Joy Gardner. She is bringing much energy and new ideas to the Young women program. Pat Berg is the new YW President. The new YW team is great.

Today we celebrated Labor day with a family BBQ and swim party. Grandma and grandpa Green were here and also Grandma Cook and Aunt Dorene. Aunt Eunice,Uncle Don,Aunt Pat, Uncle Bill and four of their Granddaughter's and 2 of their Great grandkids. Jon & Kelly Robinson and their four daughters and Kens family. It was a beautiful day. Family is great!
